EchoStar's ViP-TV Enters Reseller Agreement with Texas Systems Integrator Mega Hertz

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – Feb. 2, 2010 – EchoStar Satellite Services L.L.C., a wholly owned subsidiary of EchoStar Corporation (NASDAQ: SATS), announced today that Mega Hertz, Inc., has joined the ViP-TV™ Reseller Program. As a reseller, Mega Hertz will market the ViP-TV transport solution to cable systems and telcos seeking a competitive IPTV solution for popular video and audio channels, including high definition. EchoStar made the announcement at this week’s National Telecommunications Cooperative Association Annual Meeting in Tampa, Fla.

Mega Hertz of Fort Worth, Texas, is an IPTV technology integrator and offers a variety of cutting-edge communication and entertainment solutions for IPTV distributors.

EchoStar’s ViP-TV transport service offers a suite of IPTV services that includes approximately 300 popular, broadcast-quality TV and music channels in IP H.264 format. ViP-TV can also provide satellite-delivered local TV channel aggregation in a telco’s designated market area in both high definition and standard definition (where available).

EchoStar resellers can take advantage of ViP-TV’s new reduced-sized blade server and chassis-style receiver system. The new blade-based system reduces required rack space, power consumption and operating costs in the head-end.
